I disagree with the idea that they are “distractions.” A multitude of bad things converging or happening at the same time certainly draws attention in thousands of ways. But it’s less of strategy and more of a consequence of what they’re doing here. There are no distractions.

Agree. It’s a consequence not a distraction. But it helps to distract?
